by providing resources, infrastructure and support to identify regional talent and realize blockchain and digital economy projects.

GBI was born out of the first accredited Master program in Blockchain Technologies and founded by its Alumni with the mission to create a global and inclusive, participatory blockchain community committed to positively impacting people’s lives through education and the application of the technology.

TIR

Scholarship Token for Blockchain Education

GBI is empowering blockchain education by providing the first Blockchain Education Scholarship Token. Project TIR, as a utility token, presents an opportunity to be a part of the world’s first accredited Master Program in Blockchain Technologies. TIR offers a wide range of opportunities such as enabling a Peer-to-Peer (P2P) scholarship, School-Student-Sponsor collaboration (known as 3S collaboration) and sponsor-centred academic research.

The shortage of skilled talents to drive the blockchain revolution remains a major challenge. Furthermore, in addition to region-centred blockchain projects, financial difficulties present a high barrier for individuals who wish to build their career in blockchain technology.

FUKUROKUJU

Global Blockchain Academy

Project FUKUROKUJU is active in Japan as Tokyo Blockchain Academy, in Rwanda as Kigali Blockchain Academy and in Colombia ass Colombia Blockchain Academy.

Project FUKUROKUJU is empowering members to bring basic blockchain education to all corners of the globe. Our members partner with local universities and other education partners to deliver structured and unstructured blockchain programs to help learners be part of the blockchain technology revolution.

VIGEE.ART

Digital Art Trade with Solidarity

VIGEE.ART is a non-profit digital art ecosystem where digital artwork like drawings, paintings, music and books and their immutably transferable proof of ownership can be exhibited, auctioned and sold with built-in solidarity giving back to the artist community. The platform allows an artist to publish and tokenize their artwork with low transaction fees and a build in solidarity mechanism.

Transaction fees are automatically adapted based on the contribution into the solidarity fund by the artist. The Community then votes on a quarterly basis for artists or projects to which funds would be distributed to. Furthermore, artists also benefit of royalty fees whenever their artwork is being traded on further, obtaining royalties accordingly.

PANACEA

Anonymous Access to Healthcare Services

At GBI, we understand that any effective solution by public health care should build on fundamental human behaviour, customs, and privacy. PANACEA is changing how medical check-ups and HIV tests are carried out through anonymous medical consultation and HIV self-tests. Users can keep and control their sensitive medical test results and only share them with those they want.

Despite the enormous efforts and resources mobilised, privacy, cultural and customs challenges still hinder healthcare services to solve basic public health problems. Two notable examples are adolescent pregnancy and stalling of reductions in new HIV infections. According to WHO, nearly 12 million girls aged 15 to 19 years give birth each year in developing regions, while an estimate of 38 million people living with HIV leading to 2 million new HIV infections and 1 million HIV-related deaths annually.

MERCURIUS

P2P cross-border small trading

Cross-border trade in Africa is ineffective due to the drastic challenges ranging from lengthy customs clearing processes to a multitude of intermediaries. Consequently, small cross-border traders find it impracticable to compete with the big fishes.

MERCURIUS removes the barriers which hinder the efficient cross-border trade across Africa. Project MERCURIUS connects small scale producers, manufacturers, suppliers, consumers, and buyers directly without the need for intermediaries such as the brokerage and sales agents. Therefore, MERCURIUS enables all cross-border trade stakeholders such as transporters, insurance companies, customs agents, and Revenue Authorities to carry out peer to peer secured cross border transactions from the country of origin to destination.
